NAOMH CONAILL will start the defence of Dr Maguire at home to Milford on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The Donegal SFC champions will have Milford in Glenties on the first day out of the new-look Championship before heading away to Ardara the following week.
Naomh Conaill overcame Gaoth Dobhair, the 2018 Ulster champions, after a three-game marathon to land Donegal club football’s biggest prize last year in dramatic fashion.
Inseparable in two final ties, they went to war again beneath the Sean Mac Cumhaill Park lights on a Wednesday night when they edged Gaoth Dobhair 0-8 to 0-7.
The draws for the 2020 club championships were made this evening, hosted by RTÉ Raidio na Gaeltachta and broadcast live on Facebook.
The formats have been changed for this year, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, which caused a shutdown of sport since March.
All sixteen teams in the Senior Football Championship will be ranked in a single league table, in compliance with Rial 6.21. The top eight teams qualify for the knockout stages with the top four teams rewarded with a home venue: 1 v 8; 2 v 7; 3 v 6; and, 4 v 5.
The four bottom clubs will play off for relegation – the semi-finals will be 13 v 16 and 14 v 15 with the two bottom teams playing away. The losing teams will then play off to avoid relegation.

The Junior A Football Championship consists of two group of five. The top teams will advance into the semi-finals with the second and third-placed teams going into quarter-finals.

The 14 Junior B Football Championship clubs were drawn in two pools of seven and they will be ranked in a single league with the top eight qualifying for the quarter-finals.

The Senior Hurling Championship involves five clubs who will play each other once. Four teams will qualify for the semi-finals with first playing fourth and second playing third.

Eight clubs will play in the Junior Hurling Championship. Two groups of four – Group A and Group B – will see each team in each group will play each other once.
The top teams in Group A and Group B will proceed directly to the semi-finals. The second team in each of the two groups will play at home against the third-placed teams in the quarterfinals.
